Worst to Best 2: Steven Universe

    Hi i'm starting a series about ranking the characters in different shows or books that I have seen. The first one in this series will be Steven Universe. However, I will only be ranking the main cast. Anyway, let's get started!

                 15. White Diamond

                                        

           So as you know, this is my least favorite member of the main cast. Her design is so beautiful that they made her ugly. Her redemption was in the span of like 3 episodes. (keep in mind she was supposed to be the main antagonist) So to wrap in up. SHE'S UGLY! I HATE HER! SHE'S SO UNLIKABLE IT DRIVES ME INSANE!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH--

                     14. Lapis Lazuli

       At first Lapis was actually on of my favorite gems. But as you step back and look at her she's a real snotty brat. Her whole character is about how she suffered from abuse and how she got over it. But when you inspect things better it looks as if she abused her partner (Jasper). She was an abuser when she "recovered" she made everything about herself.

    When she moved on and met Peridot for the first time she was such jerk it was driving me insane that she was picking on my girl Peridot! She moved on from her old victim and started a new unhealthy relationship.

                   13. Yellow Diamond

Yellow Diamond's temper is insufferable. She is constantly angry and destroying things. I kinda feel bad for her because it's her way of dealing with the loss of a loved one, but seriously! WHY CAN"T SHE JUST COOL IT!!!

12. Jasper

Jasper is basically a smaller Yellow Diamond except she actually has a role needed for the story in Steven Universe. I know that's short but that's all I really have to say about her

11. Pink Diamond

Lots of people have been hating on Pink Diamond recently because of leaving Spinel behind among lots of other things. But listen and let me explain. The other diamonds have done waaaaaaay worse stuff. And I mean waaaaay worse stuff. Also I feel like we have been watching her redemption ark in reverse. We started off as Rose Quartz and we slowly went back in time as we were learning the mystery. So stop giving her the short end of the stick.

10. Greg

Greg is a really funny and sweet character. But if look at the newer episodes, you can see that he has kinda failed as a parent. I mean being a single dad for a half alien half human child, things aren't gonna be easy. What I mean is, he never ever took Steven to school to get an education. Or took Steven do get just a check up at the doctor. He was always there for Steven when he was feeling down or anything. But instead of taking good care of him, he let him go on magical adventures instead.

9.Bismuth

I really like the inclusion of Bismuth in the Crystal Gems. But I can't help but feel like Bismuth's character and story is a little bit bland. I do like her and all and I love the idea of having another gem to tell us more lore about the war, but she lacks personality and she doesn't have much spirit.

8. Blue Diamond

Blue Diamond is probably my favorite diamond. She's not to crazy or ugly, and her motivation to keep moving is the death of Pink Diamond. I also love how she tries to make everyone else feel sorry for her, but lapis is already so depressed that it doesn't even affect her.

7. Pearl

I really love Pearl's recovery throughout the whole TV show. Pink Diamond said she was free now that the war was over. But she never really let go of Pink Diamond, even when she had a new identity as Rose Quartz. And once Rose Quartz died and became Steven. She felt like she had nowhere to go or anyone to talk too. But she realized eventually that she really could be her own person and she could tell people things without bottling them all up inside her.

6. Connie

Connie is Steven's girlfriend and Pearl's apprentice. She started out as just a shy little girl, to a master sword fighter who helped save the galaxy. She changed more than any other character has in this series and I really like her awkward  and charming  personality.

5. Garnet

Garnet is my birthstone, and i'm proud to say that i'm this happy couple of love! If you don't know why I said couple, it's because in Steven Universe different gems can fuse together and making stronger gems. One thing I really like about Steven Universe as a whole is that there is lots of LGBTQ+ characters in it and they give them a lot of representation. Garnet is one of these characters since she is made up of 2 gems named Ruby & Sapphire.

4. Steven

For a main Character is Steven is pretty complex. He's not afraid to help people and basically become there therapist. He's so nice, loving and compassionate and the show is great at showing those aspects of him.

3. Amethyst

Amethyst was the original comedy relief character before Peridot came in. But for a comedy relief, the show went to places that others shows didn't with those character stereotypes. Usually they're just there to crack some jokes or be dumb. Things like that. But everyone actually has feelings, so so does Amethyst.

2. Spinel

Spinel went from Pinkie Pie to Mentally Unstable to The Cutest little thing ever, all in one movie. The mystery about what happened to her kept me on the edge of my seat, and as her cute little ponytails helped Steven regain the Crystal Gem's memories, I knew she was already one of the best Steven Universe Characters!

1. Peridot

This is probably not a surprise at all, but Peridot is the all time best Crystal Gem. Her growth and redemption was so well written, that even people who don't like Steven Universe even like her story. She's just so funny, and so adorable, I can hardly stand it!
